Julie A. Sloan is an instructional coach working at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in the Boston Public Schools. Through her 25 years careers in the LAUSD, BPS, and the Boston Teacher Residency, Julie has supported and learned from the practices of hundreds of English teachers by engaging them in implementation of routines and practices as well as formal reflection where teachers continuously develop their expertise in nurturing engaged, independent, and joyful readers and writers.
